France

I'm in France! Visiting MEGHAN!! My best friend whom I have not seen in forever. So to make up for this I have traveled half way around the world via plane, train, and bus (well maybe not bus). Let me say one thing... She better be gratefull. But who am I to complain, after all I am in France... and I did go to Paris... and I got to go in the Medditeranean Ocean... and I don't have to pay for a hotel! Since, I've been in France I have seen the sights and enjoyed myself. I can't understand a word that these people are saying, but that's ok cause I have my own living breathing translating machine.

On my first day in Perpignan Meghan took me to meet her students. I was amazed at the French school system, not for its efficency (or lack there of), but how the studentsact. Poor Meghan was trying to teach them conversational English they where flat out rude! They would never survive in any school I went to. They are constantly talking to themselves, over Meghan, not paying attenition, sometimes not even in their seats! I was so shocked and angry about how they were treating my friend I actualled yelled at them. As it turns out this is how they treat all of their teachers! It's just the way it is! Meghan told me horrible stories about things they have done, like one boy actually was whipping anouther kid! OK, so maybe I'm being overdramatic (not about the whipping boy, he's real) about how bad they are. The're not all bad. The second class she took me too was actually pretty good, except when I asked if a girl had an exciting time with her friends over break (apparently in France exciting means having an orgasim...Ooops).

I am really getting into wraught iron! I have been taking pictures of all these windows and doors in Perpignan getting very artsy fartsy photos to bring back home and hang on the wall (much to the chagrin of those who live in these houses). One of the coolest things I've discovered here is the Statue of Liberty. That's right folks! Not only is there a giant green one in New York, but there's a blue one in Meghan's driveway! Hah!

My Very First Blog!!

So, I have always been exceptionally bad at keeping in touch with people. I've tried mailing letters, but I never get them to the post office. I tried mass e-mails, which seem to work for a couple of my friends, but after sending one or two my enthusiasm ebbs and I forget to send anymore. I also try calling people, but I can't text to save my life and don't like to call someone unless I have a spefic subject in mind, thus, having all of my previous attempts at correspondance fail miserably, I am making a last ditch attempt via blogging. Hopefully this will last longer then a month (at least long enough for me to actually have something archived). So here it is folks. If you're friends with me and you want to tell me something send me an e-mail ( I will hopefully read it within a week ) or call me (I love getting phone calls. It makes me feel loved), but if your just curious as to what is going on in my life, then check in here. Here goes nothing...
